About CEF

CEF® is a Bible-centered, interdenominational, worldwide organization, composed of born-again believers whose purpose and mission are to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in a Bible-believing church for Christian living.

Local Missions

Currently, CEF has a presence in 14 elementary schools throughout Onondaga County through our after-school Good News Clubs. We also host two Party Clubs each month at local churches, along with multiple summer ministry locations in city parks, churches, and other community settings. Through each of these opportunities, we seek to share the Gospel and reach children with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

‍ ‍Mariah Britton grew up in Syracuse, New York, and attended schools in the Syracuse City School District. Since 2009, she has had a deep passion for serving the Lord through Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). During her senior year of high school, Mariah sensed God’s call to missions after participating in a powerful short-term mission trip to Ethiopia. It was there that she felt the Lord leading her into full-time ministry.

In response to God’s calling, Mariah changed her college plans and followed the Lord’s direction to attend Davis Bible College, where she earned a Bachelor of Religious Education with a major in Biblical Studies and a concentration in Christian Ministries.‍ ‍

Mariah began her training with CEF in the summer of 2009 as a Summer Missionary, spending countless hours ministering to children throughout Syracuse in city parks. Through this experience, she developed a deep love for seeing children come to faith in Christ and witnessing lives transformed as their relationships with Jesus grew. She went on to serve several summers as a CEF Summer Director before moving overseas, where she served in a variety of ministry roles.‍ ‍

After returning home, Mariah joyfully reengaged with CEF, serving through 5-Day Bible Clubs, park outreach, teacher trainings, and as a member of the local CEF committee. This year, Mariah has answered God’s call to serve as the new CEF Local Director. She is passionate not only about sharing the Gospel and raising up the next generation of believers, but also about building lasting relationships and equipping others to reach their communities for Christ.

Harlei is 17 and a recent graduate of CNS.

She shares …

“Hi! My name is Harlei and I will be joining CEF this year! I usually spend a lot of my summers playing volleyball, hanging out with friends and family, and spending a lot of time outside. Matthew 28:19-20 commands us to go, and spread the word of our heavenly father to everyone who will hear it! I am very excited to take this next step in my faith, and make this commandment my everyday mission. I love the way that CEF focuses on spreading the good news to children, considering this is the foundational years of someone's life where they might put their faith in Christ. I am choosing to faithfully follow what God has for me on my journey evangelizing for the rest of life, but I am looking forward to starting my journey with this amazing organization!”
